From Redness to White

For the past year, I have been ranting and raving about Apothic Red. Earlier this year, I heard rumblings of Apothic releasing a white wine just in time for Spring. I searched for this wine for so long that I was starting to think it was a rumor.

Low and behold, just as I was about to give up when my neighborhood wine store decided to carry a limited quantity. I almost skipped all the way home. Giddy, now that I found the elusive white wine.
When I came in the door, I immediately started taking pictures to post on Facebook to prove to my friends that I had it in my possession.

After a decent ice bath, I had my first glass and....... it sucked. Why did I think that I was going to enjoy this again? Apothic White($10)  is the grown up edition of white grape juice with a little alcohol mixed in for good measure.

Chardonnay, Riesling and Moscato are to thank for this mixed bag of tricks. Apothic missed the mark on this one by getting too heavy handed with the Moscato that it barely missed Icewine status with all of the grapey muckary going on.

So for all of my Moscato bottle popping fans out there -Mo Wine! However, I am sitting this one out.
